Boho Heart Garland and Plant Hanger

Welcome to the January Pinterest Challenge hosted by the adorable Cindy of County Road 407.

Our project this month is a heart garland by Jenny at Refresh Living.
This is so cute. I love the yarn the pom poms and the pie safe in the background.

The yarn hearts are a pivotal part of this garland.
Our white yarn and our pompoms are packed away with the Christmas decor.
Additionally, the weather has already started to warm up here in the great state of Texas.
Those classic warm and cozy elements don't translate well on 75° days.
I was too lazy to dig in the closet under the stairs to find the yarn so I grabbed a medium that was easy to locate.

I had some left over Sculpey clay from my DIY blue and white Christmas ornaments.
It and my tote of cookie cutters was corralled on our island in the kitchen.
Sculpey clay couldn't be easier. Soften the clay by kneading it with your fingers.
Once it is soft, roll it out with a rolling pin. Cut away! Make a hole for threading some cording. Place on a cookie sheet and bake at 275° for about 15 minutes. That's it.

I hung them up on a peg rack made out of old molding of some kind. It adds that antique element like what is in the inspiration picture.

This peg rack is really my drying rack for flowers.

Since I was feeling all crafty like, I tied a plant hanger out of macrame´ cord.

The easiest house plant to grow was placed in a flower pot and inserted into the hanger.

I thought it all looked very boho.

A cottage cookie cutter and a watering can take it from a Valentine's Day garland to a spring garland as well.

That is it for now.
Hop on over to see and all the rest of my Pinterest Challenge friends.
